How to Plan a San Diego Elopement
- Pick your location and check permit requirements
- Get your marriage license from San Diego County Clerk (valid for 90 days from issuance — California has no mandatory waiting period before the ceremony)
- Hire an officiant (online ordained officiants are legal in California)
- Book your photographer at least 60 days in advance
