Los Angeles Wedding Photography: What SoCal Couples Need to Know
June 7, 2026
National City and South Bay San Diego Wedding Photography Guide
June 7, 2026Every wedding photographer does basic editing — exposure, color balance, cropping. Enhanced editing is a different category entirely. Here is what it means and why it matters.
Basic Editing vs Enhanced Editing
Basic editing includes: Exposure and contrast adjustment, white balance correction, basic crop and straighten, batch color grading for a consistent look.
Enhanced editing adds: Skin retouching and blemish removal, background cleanup (removing distracting elements), sky enhancement, object removal, advanced stylized color grading, and composite work for special creative images.
When Is Enhanced Editing Worth It?
- Outdoor weddings where backgrounds have unavoidable distractions (parked cars, other guests, construction)
- Couples who want natural-looking, polished skin without a heavy-handed result
- Venues with less photogenic angles that can be cleaned up in post
- Key hero images — the final selects you will print and display
How AlphaRes Studio Approaches Enhanced Editing
At AlphaRes Studio, every gallery receives professional editing as standard — exposure, color grading, skin work, and consistency across all images. Our editors work in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop with a philosophy of natural enhancement: we want you to look like the best version of yourself, not someone else.
All images receive base editing. Key portrait selects receive full retouching. Final galleries are delivered in 3–5 weeks depending on the package.
4K Slideshow Upgrade
AlphaRes Studio also offers a 4K Slideshow add-on ($150) — 20–40 of your best photos assembled into a cinematic 6K-quality slideshow, included as standard in all packages or added to individual bookings.
